The client is a leading consultancy firm specializing in comprehensive tax, legal, IT and Audit solutions for a diverse clientele, including multinational corporations and mid-sized businesses. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Senior Manager to join our team and lead complex tax engagements.
Job Summary:
The Tax Senior Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality tax services to our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations and the ability to apply that knowledge to a variety of client scenarios. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax planning, compliance, and consulting, and will be adept at managing client relationships and leading a team of tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage multiple tax engagements, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tax services.
– Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
– Review and approve complex tax returns and filings prepared by the tax team.
– Provide expert tax advice to clients on a wide range of issues, including mergers and acquisitions, tax audits, and international tax matters.
– Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
– Mentor and develop junior tax staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
– Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess the impact on client operations and tax positions.
– Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver integrated solutions that address client needs.
– Assist in business development efforts, including identifying opportunities for additional services and participating in client proposals and presentations.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
– Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive tax experience;
– Fluency in English – German would be a strong plus;
– In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations;
– Knowledge in indirect taxes and a differential;
– Experience with international tax issues and cross-border transactions is a plus.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
– Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
– High level of integrity and professionalism.
– Proficiency in tax software and technology tools.
